Uponor encountered substantial difficulties in training its employees due to the impracticality of holding instructor-led sessions in its 24/7 operational environment across multiple locations in two countries in North America. Although they adopted e-learning through an internal LMS several years ago, the content lacked engagement and was as uninspiring as reading an operations manual.
The Solution

To boost engagement, the company explored AI and avatar solutions. They found that Hour One’s avatars were very realistic, significantly enhancing the training experience. The use of these avatars transformed their training modules, making them more interactive and engaging. Learners were fascinated by the avatars, and often questioned whether they were “real” people.
The Results

The results have been outstanding. Employee engagement with the training materials has soared, with ratings consistently between 4.5 and 5 stars. The company has achieved near 100% completion rates for its training programs, with nearly all feedback being extremely positive.
The training content is used daily, with about two new training modules released each month. The company has put considerable thought into ensuring their custom template reflects the brand’s professional image.
